Re is a local artist creating modern abstract art. Originally from Toronto Ontario, she is formally trained as a Nurse Practitioner attending the University of Toronto. Artistically, she has always focused on the intersection between creativity and human connection. She nurtured her love for modern contemporary artwork through discovery. During the COVID19 pandemic, she decided to take a leap of faith and try her hand in abstract art. Working frontline during the pandemic had shown her the importance of cultivating self-care through creativity. She started with humble beginnings focusing on an anatomical illustration that aligned with her work in healthcare. During the pandemic, she pivoted to abstract work. She felt a call to remove the binds of structure and embrace the unknown. Currently, she focuses on abstract work while honoring her illustrative past.
